Sixth Diaspora Development Dialogue (DDD6)

‘Migration and Integration: Actions for Inclusive Development’

Friday 02 December 2016, Piran, Slovenia

Organised by ADEPT in partnership with the Institute for African Studies (Slovenia) & Humanitas Afrika (Czech Republic), DDD6  will take place in Piran, Slovenia and will focus on  ‘Migration and Integration: Actions for Inclusive Development’.

At the UN Summit for Refugees and Migrants on 19 September 2016, the New York Declaration  was adopted. Amongst other things, it was agreed that campaigns will be developed to counter xenophobia. This links in with the UN Secretary General’s ‘Togetherness’ campaign. DDD6 will explore practical and effective ways of facilitating migrant and diaspora integration in host countries, for the socio-economic and development benefit of all.

ADEPT will provide a training to participants on Project-Planning, Design and Bid-Writing on 1 and 3 December. On the afternoon of 3 December, ADEPT will host a Community Engagement Event to reflect the theme of ‘integration and inclusive development’.
