ADEPT Interim Executive Director Gibril Faal participated in an IOM High-Level Panel entitled “Sustainable Development Goals and the IOM Migration Governance Framework”, which was moderated by IOM Director General William L. Swing.

Speaker included: David Donoghue, Permanent Representative of Ireland to the United Nations and CoFacilitators of the intergovernmental negotiations on the post-20 15 development agenda; Paul Ladd, Director of the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development and Claire Melamed, Director, Growth, Poverty & Inequality Programme, Overseas Development Inst.

This was an extremely important moment to discuss migration in the context of the newly adopted SDGs, as well as policy approaches to migration as a means to addressing inequalities within and between countries.
