1st DIASPORA FORUM “POLICIES AND PRACTICES OF ENGAGEMENT WITH THE DIASPORA”

The first “OACPS Diaspora Forum”, a highlevel event aimed at promoting Policies and Practices of Engagement with the Diaspora, was organized on December 7. The event was held in the margins of the 10th OACPS Summit of Heads of State and Government (7-10 December 2022) in Luanda, Angola, under the auspices of His Excellency João LOURENҪO, President of the Republic of Angola.

In his capacity of President of the Africa Europe Diaspora Development Platform (ADEPT), Mr Alexis Neuberg was invited to participate at the Round table moderated by the OACPS Champion for Diaspora, the Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson and CEO of the Nigerian National Commission for the Diaspora, NiDCOM.

Mr Alexis Neuberg presented ADEPT activities and highlighted the importance for the Governments to adopt conducive policies and identify challenges and opportunities of engagement with Diaspora for sustainable and inclusive development.

The Diaspora Forum was organized under the banner of the OACPS Diaspora Engagement Platform, which was officially launched during the Summit.
