The central theme of the meeting was civil society in the face of the global compact on migration. In the last part of the presentation, ADEPT, represented by its Policy, Advocacy and Partnership Officer, Grégory Dianzenza was endorsed to share its vision on the on “Challenges, Priorities and Opportunities for Regional Platforms in Africa”.  In a 5-minute presentation, Grégory explained that the biggest challenge remains the opposing ambitions of all the organisations and networks involved. He then went on to state that ADEPT members’ meetings are the top priority. Finally, he ended the presentation by referring to the opportunity ADEPT has as a representative of Africa and its diaspora to establish partnerships with other major organizations of the world.
