On 13 July 2018, Humanitas Afrika has officially launched the development of its first strategic plan after 18 years of existence.

On 13 July 2018, Humanitas Afrika, ADEPT’s member in the Czech Republic, benefited of our support under the Capacity Development Support (CDS) service to develop a strategic plan to be published by September 2018. The strategic plan will further the organisation which has been in existence for 18 years.

As part of the strategic planning process, a focus group meeting was organised for members of Humanitas Afrika on 3 July 2018.  The meeting was followed by two Intercultural Participatory Learning and Action (IPLA)-based consultation workshops with representatives of the African community groups in the Czech Republic on 13 -14 July 2018, facilitated by ADEPT.

More focused group workshops and interviews are planned with strategic stakeholders, including government agencies, mainstream NGOs, local and international development partners, etc…

Kofi Nkrumah, the President of Humanitas Afrika, expressed his delight to see the organisation developing its first strategic plan after 18 years of existence. He also commended the techniques and tools used to facilitate group workshops. It offered members of the African community the opportunity to reflect on the direction they want Humanitas Afrika to take in the coming years. Mr. Nkrumah hopes that the strategic plan will provide a solid foundation for Humanitas Afrika moving forward.
