European Development Days 2017

7-8 June 2017, Brussels 

 

ADEPT will again be participating in this year’s European Development Days. As part of this year’s EDD17 Village, ADEPT will be hosting an EDD Village Stand showcasing 6 examples of good practice from the ADEPT network: Deutsch-Marokkanische Kompetenznetzwerk e.V. (DMK); Foundation for AfricaWezeshaSlovenia-Nigeria Chamber of CommerceFlying Doctors NigeriaLunch Box Gift.

ADEPT’s stand is being organised in partnership with key partner FORIM, who will be promoting their joint project with Fondation Nicolas Hulot entitled ‘Generation Climat’.

ADEPT’s stand will serve as a hub for all diaspora groups and African organisations attending EDD17.

Please note that due to the need to prioritise resources for the forthcoming General Assembly meeting in September, ADEPT will not be in a position to support ADDOs in the ADEPT network to attend EDD17.

EDD17 Brainstorming Session on ‘Migration, Mobility, and Development’:

ADEPT will further be organising an EDD17 Brainstorming session on the topic of  Migration, Mobility, and Development at 09:00 AM on 08 June 2017. This session is being organised in partnership with African Diaspora Network Europe (ADNE), FORIM, ACP Young Professionals Network, African Diaspora Youth Forum Europe (ADYFE) and others. It aims to produce concrete and practical recommendations on youth issues both for the UN Global Compact on Migration and for the forthcoming Africa-EU summit.

ADEPT has also been invited to participate in the pre-EDD 2017 EU media panel on 6 June.
