This month ADEPT’s Engagement and Capacity Development Manager, Paul Asquith, spoke at SHABAKAs roundtable event on diaspora engagement in development and humanitarian response. The aim of the event was to highlight some of the issues surrounding the migration crisis but also, in the context of the UK, how it is effecting diaspora communities and how they are counter-acting these images.
Speakers included:
  • Michael Collyer, University of Sussex
  • Mai Khidir, Al Sudaniya Mentoring
  • Adam Matan, Anti-Tribalism Movement (ATM)
The event was part of One World Week at the University of Sussex
