ADEPT’s Communications and Engagement Manager, Haja Bally participated in MIgration EU eXpertise (MIEUX) first series of activities in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo from 10 to 15 October 2016. MIEUX is a joint EU–ICMPD initiative strengthening the migration governance capacities of governments in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America by mobilising experts from EU member states and other countries.
The activities consisted of a 3-days fact-finding mission aiming at identifying the main gaps and key areas requiring attention in the field of diaspora affairs in DRC. Haja Bally alongside Badara Ndiaye(Consultant MIEUX) and Stephanie Berry (Coordinator MIEUX) then delivered a 2 days’ workshop discussing different aspects of the development of DRC’s Diaspora Engagement Policy.
