ADEPT at the Forum of the African Diasporas in Paris, France – June 22, 2018

On June 22, 2018, the ADEPT Platform participated in the African Diaspora Forum, in Paris, France. Organised by the IPEMED (Institut des perspectives économiques du monde méditéranéen), the forum aimed to bring together policy makers, members of the African diaspora and diaspora organisations for a sharing of experiences and networking.

 

 

ADEPT’s board member, Kékéli Kpognon took part in the panel What initiatives to facilitate the involvement of diasporas in Africa?’. The round table discussed the position of the diaspora as natural ambassadors between Europe and Africa and its role in supporting the development of Africa.

 

 


ADEPT platform was present at the event through its members such as the Forum des Organisations de Solidarite Internationale issues des Migrations (FORIM),  Foundation For Women’s Health Research and Development (FORWARD) and the Federation Euro-Africaine de Solidarite (FEASO).  These ADDOS beneficiated from a big coverage and visibility opening new ways for collaboration. 
The ADEPT also presented #ADEPT4She, a campaign that federated both men and women around the same desire to give more visibility to African diaspora women.
