African Diaspora Development Organisations (ADDOS), civil society organisations, local authorities, development agencies, stakeholders of migration and development.
This informal, state led and non-binding process was created in 2007 in order to deepen the dialogue on migration and development issues, between different stakeholders; civil society, private sector, international and regional organizations, as well as governments.
For 2022-2023, the GFMD’s1 chairmanship is shared by France and Senegal, and aims to share policy and practice, analysis, and debate around the impact of climate change on human mobility. This topic addresses the urgency to solve and reduce the disastrous outcomes that climate change and environmental deterioration have on forced displaced populations and human mobility. Civil society, local authorities and diaspora’s voice, experience and engagement in this topic, will enrich the discussions.
